"In wisdom gathered over time I have found that every experience is a form of exploration. " Ansel Adams
My love for art begain
at an early age, first through the fairytale illustrations of Margaret Evans
Price, and later in the unmatched photography of Ansel Adams and Edward Weston.
I studied photography in Albuqurque New Mexico and in Salzburg, Austria. After completing a Master’s Degree in Art
History, I taught art history courses and photography at a local college.
Painting and drawing have always been an avenue of self expression for me.
I am inspired by the
art of Franz Marc, Kandinsky, Mondrian, Cezanne and the Canadian Seven.

The paintings go beyond their origins in real life to create a heightened awareness of colors and shape resulting in an illusion of space, where the viewer can play, explore, find breathing space, or be alone with their thoughts.
